Cyprus Folk Art Museum is housed in the premises of the old Archbishopric Palace in the historic center of Nicosia near the Cathedral of St. John and the Byzantine Museum. The nearest hotels include: Allegra GSP Sport Center, Sky Hotel and Rimi. Across the street from the museum is the Pancyprian Gymnasium — the oldest and largest gymnasium in Cyprus.
The museum houses a collection of ethnographic artifacts: examples of Cypriot ceramics, embroidery, lace, painting, metalwork, and agricultural and weaving tools. The museum has a library containing books, manuscripts and magazines on the history of Cyprus.
Museum has its own parking as well as a souvenir shop.
