The museum of natural history in Nicosia is the largest museum of its kind in Cyprus. The collection includes approximately 2500 objects. The majority of them are mammal, bird, fish, reptile and insect effigies. Other objects on display include geological samples, minerals, precious stones, shells, fossils and other treasures of the island.

The marine section includes shark, turtle and other marine effigies. Next to the entrance to the garden there is a dinosaur skeleton.

The museum collection is constantly growing and already includes approximately 3000 objects.

Entrance and guided tours are free. The museum offers individual and group tours and holds seminars for adults and children about nature and environment.
