The School of Modern Greek was founded in Nicosia in 1998 under the University of Cyprus. The course structure and program content is managed by the University’s Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies.

The school’s main focus is teaching Greek as a foreign language.

Its courses are scheduled around the academic semester. However, there are also intensive courses that offer 4 or 13 weeks of language study. One of our writersattended one of these intensive courses and has shared her experience here.
