The archeological collection was donated to the Cyprus Cultural Foundation in Faneromenis by George and Nefeli Giabra Pierides in 1999. In 2002 the Foundation held the first exhibition, which focused on the influence of Greek civilization on art in Cyprus. The collection includes more than 600 objects and covers a wide range of Cypriot archeology: from the beginning of the Bronze Age (2500BC) to the end of the medieval period (16th century). It features unique examples of Mycenaean ceramics as wells as Greek, Roman and medieval ceramics, such as clay figurines, limestone sculptures, stamps, jewelry, coins and copper objects.

The museum holds educational events for school and university students, who can use the museum’s interactive program “Spyra” to reconstruct an archeological object and find out about its history.
