Colossi Castle is located to the west of Limassol. The castle was built in 1210 by the Order of Knights Hospitaller and is one of the most important monuments of the French period. The castle’s main tower is 22 meters high. Visitors can take a walk through the garden, enter the castle and go up to the observation deck and enjoy the view of the surrounding area. Colossi Castle and the nearby ancient sugar factory are considered the birthplace of the famous Commandaria wine.
